6 Forgotten Giants Made From Recycled Wood
Thomas Dambo, a Danish artist known for his innovative use of recycled materials, has created 25 sculptures over the past three years. His latest project saw him design and build six large-scale works, which were strategically placed throughout Copenhagen, often in unexpected locations that are not typically frequented by the public. The artist’s creative process involved scavenging for materials, primarily old pallets, a broken shed, and a fence, which he repurposed into unique sculptures.
A team of local volunteers assisted Dambo in bringing his vision to life, with each giant carrying the name of its respective contributor. Each sculpture is imbued with clues that lead to the next, while a provided map serves as a guide for those seeking to embark on a magical adventure. Notably, all six giants are constructed from recycled wood, requiring significant effort and perseverance. A video documenting the process can be viewed online.
